Biography
Dr. Yiqin Liu is a dedicated researcher specializing in the neural circuit mechanisms underlying emotion and social behaviors. Based at Zhejiang University, her research aims to elucidate how specific brain regions and circuits contribute to emotional regulation, social interaction, and behavioral adaptation, providing critical insights into the neurobiological basis of psychiatric disorders.
She is skilled in utilizing state-of-the-art neuroscience tools, including advanced mouse behavioral assays, electrophysiology, fiber photometry recording, optogenetics, and chemogenetics, to investigate the neural dynamics and functional connectivity of these circuits. Dr. Liu has published several high-impact research articles as a first and co-author in internationally renowned journals, including Neuron, contributing significantly to the field.
Her contributions have been recognized through multiple awards for oral presentations at prestigious academic conferences. At Zhejiang University, Dr. Liu continues to push the boundaries of neuroscience research with the ultimate goal of identifying novel therapeutic targets for emotional and social behavior disorders.
