Dr Shu Wang majors in functional neurosurgery as a neurosurgeon at Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University. He studies minimal invasive neurosurgical treatments, especially neuromodulation therapies such as deep brain stimulation (DBS) for neurological diseases, including movement disorders, epilepsy, and psychiatric disorders. He investigates electrophysiology, neural circuits, and neuroimmune inflammatory mechanisms behind these diseases and therapies. In the past five years, he has published more than 20 SCI-indexed articles as the first/corresponding author in Brain, Neurology, BMC Medicine, et al.
